Trinity

Special Stewardship Campaign Runs Through March 1, 2008 - Act Today!

Trinity's Hidden Treasures campaign is a unique, exciting way for you to support the work of our church.

We've partnered with auctionPAL, a company that provides an easy way for Trinity parishioners to sell items online, with the proceeds going to Trinity and the charitable deduction going to the individual.

Here's how the Hidden Treasures Campaign works:

Suppose you have an item in your home - a pair of skis that the kids have outgrown, an old computer, a guitar, maybe some glassware or china, etc. - that's just taking up space. You don't use it, you hate to throw it out, and you can't think of anyone who really wants it.

Maybe you have inherited or been given something wonderful, but it doesn't quite work in your home and you know your kids will never want it.

How about selling the item and donating the proceeds to Trinity?

auctionPAL and Trinity can help you easily post your item on eBay through a special Trinity account. As part of auctionPAL's personalized services, you'll be assigned a highly-trained auctionExpert who will manage all aspects of your account. They'll create a customized description of your item, post the item online and even provide you shipping materials once your item sells. You'll also be able to track the status of your item online throughout the entire process.

To get started, click on the "Contribute Now" button. You'll be able to research the potential value of the items you are considering and proceed with filling in the item's information. If you're having trouble filling in the information, someone from Trinity will be available to help with the process. For assistance from Trinity please email . Remember, you can always call, email or use Live Chat for assistance from auctionPAL.

Either way, once the basic information about your item is in hand, auctionPAL will take care of the rest. It's that simple to turn your unused items into financial support for the church.

What We Do

We assign a highly trained auctionExpert to your account who writes a detailed description of your item increasing its sale-ability. The auctionExpert then creates a dynamic selling strategy and posts your item for sale online.

How it works

You provide us pictures and a brief description of the item you want to sell. We create a customized online listing of your item for sale online. When your item sells, we collect payment from the buyer and send you a box with shipping supplies and instructions. What is the relationship between Trinity and auctionPAL?

Trinity has partnered with auctionPAL, a locally-based services company that specializes in making the online selling process easy and hassle-free for you. They'll work closely with you to customize all aspects of selling your item and send the net proceeds directly to Trinity once your item sells.

Who is auctionPAL?

We are the online selling experts. Our highly personalized service is like no other. We make selling online easy, fun and hassle-free.

What does auctionPAL do?

We assign a highly trained auctionExpert to your account who writes a detailed description of your item increasing its sale-ability. The auctionExpert then creates a dynamic selling strategy and posts your item for sale online.

How does it work?

You provide us pictures and a brief description of the item you want to contribute. We create a customized listing for your item and post it to an online marketplace. When your item sells, we collect payment from the buyer and send you a box with shipping supplies and instructions and a phone number to call to arrange a pickup. After the buyer accepts the item, we deduct our service fee from the final sale price and mail the net proceeds directly to Trinity as a personal contribution from you.

How long will it take for me to enter information about my item?

If you have the pictures ready and the item in front of you it takes about 3-6 minutes to submit an item for listing. If you prefer not to do this yourself, you can utilize our agent assisted service and have an auctionPAL agent come right to your home or workplace to take care of it for you.

Do I need a picture of the item?

As part of our fraud prevention program we really need at least one photo of the actual item you are selling (stock photos cannot be accepted). Our online application makes uploading pictures easy.

How will I know when my auction starts?

We will send you an email letting you know that your auction has begun.

How can I track my auction's progress?

You can track your auction's status, including bidding activity, by logging into your account and reviewing your items through the My Account page accessible from the auctionPAL website.

Who answers questions from potential buyers?

Part of auctionPAL's service is to interact with people interested in your item. If auctionPAL cannot answer a question, we will send you a message asking for your assistance. If you have indicated that you don't want to be contacted, we will answer to the best of our ability.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is one of the most stressful, time-consuming and labor intensive tasks of selling online. auctionPAL has eliminated these hassles by doing virtually all the work for you!

First, after we receive payment, we send you a shipping kit. The kit has everything you need for shipping the item: box, packing materials, tape and a prepaid shipping label addressed to the buyer.

Next, you put the item in the box and call the 1-800 number on the instructions provided.

Then the shipping company comes to your house or workplace, picks up the item and you're done!

What if the item gets damaged during shipping?

All packages shipped by auctionPAL are insured.

How does auctionPAL get paid?

There are no upfront fees to use auctionPAL's services! Our service fee, which includes all online selling fees, is deducted from the final sale price of the item.

What is the service fee?

auctionPAL's service fee is a percentage of your item's final sale price based on a sliding scale. The higher the value of your item, the less our service costs. The calculation is shown in the table below.

How does my contribution get to Trinity?

Once your item is paid for and accepted by the buyer, auctionPAL will send a check for your net proceeds directly to Trinity as a personal contribution from you.

Do I receive a receipt?

Yes. Trinity will send you a receipt confirming your donation. You can also log into your My Account page at any time to review the items you sold.
